On Sunday 29th April we were joined by representatives of Rochdale Hearbeat who presented us with an AED for use (if needed) in church.

Committee members Pam Wiseman and Sue Ridgard joined Rev Ivan Ruiters and Ian Douglas to present the AED during the mornings service.

5 members of our congregation are members of Rochdale Heartbeat and they have encouraged us to support a number of fundraising events to help place more AED’s in public buildings. One of our bravest fundraisers, Rachel Jay (nee Winn), took part in 2 open water swims raising a mammoth £976.

So thank you to Rochdale Heartbeat for the AED. We hope we don’t have to use it, but if we do, we know we’ll have done everything possible to save a life.
